$20 million to support Australia’s volunteers

Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey encourages community organisations to apply for
funding from the Federal Government’s $20m Volunteer Grants to support the
efforts of their volunteers.
Grants enable volunteer groups to apply for funding of between $1,000 and
$5,000 which can be used towards the cost of essential items that help make the
work of volunteers easier, safer, and more enjoyable, such as equipment,
training, transport and background screening,” he said.
modest grants provide fantastic value for the taxpayer as well. They keep
people involved in and serving their communities. That effort in turn, keeps
people healthier and provides a myriad of services to Australians on a daily
basis. If all these services had to be fully funded by the tax payer the nation
