Brinkworth Koolunga Cricket Club to benefit from Stronger Communities Grant
The Brinkworth Koolunga Cricket Club will be able to purchase some much-needed equipment with funding through Round 5 of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program.
Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey said he is very pleased the funding of $5000 will enable the club to purchase equipment and a storage shed.
“The Brinkworth Koolunga Cricket Club is based around a farming community in the state’s mid north which is currently experiencing drought,” he said.
“While the club is delighted they have had an increase in membership recently, their equipment and facilities need upgrading.
“The ability to purchase a cricket pitch cover, storage shed and line marker will be a great advantage to the club.
“I congratulate the club on its succesful application and am excited to hear they have welcomed a number of girls into the club which has boosted playing numbers.”
The Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital projects.
